New Items!

Here at Lovely Details I am continuously on the look out for unique pieces to add to my ever-growing collection. I will never pass up a great junk store or flea market!  I’m one of those people who loves anything old, rusty, forgotten and beautiful! Some of the items I find out on my treasure hunts are beautiful as is and others need a little shining up. With that said, here are a few vases and cake stands I recently found that can add a whole lot of elegance to any celebration!

exciting things to come!

Hello friends!

It’s been one week since the launch of Lovely Details and the response has been incredible! It's great to hear there are area brides and photographers who are just as excited as I am to finally have a resource for all things vintage.

Just wanted to touch on a few points:
I recently found some stunning vases and cake stands that I will be sharing with you as soon as I can snap some pictures.  Be sure to come back to check these out!

Are you on the look out for a particular vintage piece for your wedding, engagement shoot, bridal shower or upcoming event? Now would be a great time to contact me for a custom search. I offer custom searches for free, so don’t hesitate to tell me what you would like to see added to the collection and I will certainly try to make it happen.

Have I mentioned that I offer event styling whether you are renting from us or not? It’s true! We all know that planning an event can be stressful and the last thing you want to worry about is setting up and decorating YOUR own event. Let Lovely Details take that stress away so you can focus on more important things! I would love to help make your event personal and spectacular. Contact me to set up a complimentary consultation.

My Pinterest Obsession

I’m sure most of you are starting to become familiar with the wonderful world of Pinterest. I myself learned about Pinterest a few weeks ago and now I’m hooked. Okay…..more like completely obsessed! Oh my, I can spend hours on this inspirational site!

What is Pinterest?

This is the best explanation I can come up with: It’s a place to organize and share ideas and inspiration. It’s a virtual pegboard where you stick the things that you like, that you love, things that you want to share or things that give you inspiration. The best part is, you can follow other people and boards that have the same interests as you.

This site can be a helpful tool for photographers, florists and event planners to keep track of all the amazing ideas out there. Never again will you pass by that cool photo shoot idea or extravagant table scape any more. Now, just pin it!  As for all you brides out there - if you haven’t already signed up for Pinterest you are missing out on the worlds coolest website. You are also missing out on ways to keep yourself organized and the opportunities to check out ever-so-lovely and unique wedding ideas! It’s hard to explain, but it’s awesome!

For me, I am bound and determined to justify my Pinterest obsession by actually putting Pinterest to work. Instead of just marveling at the cool DIY ideas I want to create them! I’m thinking a Saturday afternoon girls get-together is in order to work on projects! Everyone must bring your paintbrushes, fabrics, toolboxes and craft supplies (and I suppose my husband should stick around in case we need a little manpower).

Okay, so I’ve become a little obsessed with pinning, but I love the fact that I can find other vintage lovers out there like me and see how they incorporate their finds with their events. It’s a great way to showcase all the lovely aspects of decorating with vintage pieces. I’ve started a Lovely Details pin board, and here are some of my favorite pins so far:

Pure vintage elegance. Can't go wrong with mason jars, white milk glass, old books and window frames.

Photographers: check out how cute this photo shoot is!

Luggage!

Great inspiration board

Absolutely fabulous

What a unique way to decorate with a ladder

You can find more pins like these on my Lovely Details pin board. Enjoy!

Hooray!

I am so excited to finally say welcome to Lovely Details Vintage Rentals! This summer has been filled with weddings, flea market trips, junkin, thrifting and treasure hunting all over Minnesota and North Dakota. Now that Fall is here I’m ready to show off all my goodies and hopefully help you along your journey to creating those one of a kind events you have been dreaming of.  So, cheers to the beginning of what I’m sure will be quite an adventure!

Also, since I am in the beginning stages of collecting, it would be a great time to email me any suggestions or ideas you may have.

Thanks for the support!
